FORTHCOMING EVENTS
PLAY READING – "My Boy Jack"

Thursday 28th August 2008 – 8:00pm at The Courtyard Theatre

Maggie May is hosting a reading of this powerful and moving play (March 2009’s production) at the Courtyard on the above date. All are invited.

This promises to be an interesting and informal evening, to review the strengths (and weaknesses?) in the play and to discuss how it can be turned into a powerful piece of theatre. It is also an opportunity to familiarise everyone with the range of parts available, including Kipling, his son Jack (17/18), Carrie (Kipling’s American wife), Elsie (Jack’s sister), and some Irish Guards on the Western Front and later at Kiplings home at Batemans.

Juniors please note: There are 2 excellent opportunities for talented Junior members in the parts of Jack and Elsie. See the Juniors page or the Auditions page for more details.

Click on this link for the audition dates, and more details of the play itself.

From time to time, the Chipstead Players organise events for their members including workshops, dinners, mystery evenings and treasure hunts. Further details can be found throughout this website and are mailed free to members.
